New: “End of the Spit”

At the tip of the sand spit that forms the West Dennis Beach, on Cape Cod, the Bass River cuts in from Nantucket Sound, and snakes north until it ends as a couple of small salt ponds in center of the Cape. The farthest piece of sandy land on the spit ends at river, and is a beautiful mix of sea grass, scrub pine and oak, and sand. It’s a barren and isolated place, but I’ve loved painting it over the years. “End of the Spit” 12 x 12 o/c
