In Progress: “Water and Light”

waterandlight

I was in Columbus, Georgia for three days, working with contemporary realist Bo Bartlett in a Master Class he held for about 20 artist from all over the US. Having successfully gotten lost in this small city, early in the morning, I turned the corner, and came across this water tower in the city center, overlooking the Chattahoochee River.

The three day class (details of which will follow in another post) was all about (at least for me) getting out of your comfort zone. Water and Light focuses on the tower…all other mill buildings that surround it were left out, leaving only the low, imagined, horizon and red Georgia clay.
