New: “Trail’s End”

There’s a trail nearby that winds its way through a hardwood forest, out to a clearing. A small pond there is surrounded by marsh grasses, cattails and trees, and the whole place is fairly well hidden. Because the trail that leads to it ends there, forcing hikers to hike back the same way they came (which hikers seem to not like to do…me included), it’s a fairly unvisited place, which makes it, for me, an appealing destination.
